That moment right before growing up. That's how I remember them.
On Saturday night we would go down front Street in South Philly and see theses cars run. Many titles were won and lost there. The races were on until the cops came, and they would turn on the fire hydrant ending the races for a moment.
I was too young to drive so Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Tyco was as close as I got to own one. But etched in my mind was the thought of one day owning one or more of these. And someday I will.
